Come make your own matcha bowl with us, no prior pottery experience necessary! If you love matcha, tea or pottery this is a wonderful way to make your tea rituals more meaningful by learning how to carve your own traditional matcha bowl. In our 2.5 hour workshop, you will learn how to shape clay, carve the bottom to create a foot, shape the spout and use kurinuki techniques to carve decorations onto the bowl. All materials included.

In this workshop, you will learn the fundamental principles of Japanese floral arrangement, including line, space, and balance. You will have access to a selection of fresh flowers, kenzan (floral pin holders), and vases to create a composition that embodies natural beauty and simplicity. Students are also welcome to bring their own vases/kenzan. At the end of class you can take home the flowers, branches and greens that you used.
